DIY Plaster Repair - How to patch plaster after removing an electrical box
In this video, professional plasterer Rory Brennan takes us through the repair process for patching a relatively small hole in a lath and plaster wall. When removing an electrical box or outlet from century-old plaster, it's nearly impossible to avoid doing some damage. The original plaster is sure to be dry, cracking, and will probably start to separate from the lath. Fear not, though — this is no time to give up your beautiful, historic plaster work. Following Rory's repair process, you can use Big Wally's Plaster Magic to recondition and moisturize the original plaster, reattach it to the lath, and make a permanent, clean patch over the hole.
